Commis 2 – Cabana Kitchen

About the role

The Cabana Kitchen at St. Regis Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis 2 to support daily culinary operations. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure seamless service for guests in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily production sheets with the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef and prepare required food items.
• Delegate tasks, train junior talent and apprentices, and maintain consistent recipe standards.
• Keep the workstation, fridges, freezers and all surfaces clean and organized.
• Execute station opening and closing procedures, minimize over‑production and food waste, and ensure proper rotation, labeling and storage.
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely, report any deficiencies promptly, and adhere to hotel and government food‑safety guidelines.
• Log all relevant information in the kitchen log book, brief the team on updates, monitor deliveries and follow the cleaning schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a luxury hotel kitchen.
• Ability to work confidently with urgency while maintaining high safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to train and support junior staff.
