About the role
The Mangroves hotel is looking for an enthusiastic Commis I to join its cold kitchen team. This entry‑level position supports daily food preparation and ensures high standards of hygiene and quality for guest meals.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in all kitchen operations.
- Prepare mise en place and food items according to menu specifications.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work area in line with hotel standards.
- Control food stock, monitor waste and help manage food costs.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Stay updated on new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
Required profile
- Completed a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
- Previous experience in reputable establishments with solid culinary fundamentals.
- Good command of English for clear communication.
- Positive, dynamic attitude and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Commitment to teamwork, adaptability and customer focus.
