About the role

The Commis I will work in the pastry shop of a luxury hotel, preparing a variety of breads and pastries to the highest quality standards. This full‑time position involves hands‑on baking, dough preparation, proofing, decorating and ensuring food safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

Prepare breads and pastries, including doughs, fillings, proofing, baking and decorating.
Follow production sheets to produce the daily range of baked goods.
Use baking tools and equipment safely and accurately.
Maintain kitchen logs for food‑safety program compliance.
Monitor food temperatures, report equipment issues and ensure proper hygiene.
Assist in inventory management by informing the Chef of excess items.
Support the team by following all safety, security and company policies.

Required profile

Minimum 24 months of experience in a pastry or bakery environment.
Technical, trade or vocational school qualification in culinary arts or a related field.
