Commis III – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis III to join our kitchen team at The Cove Rotana Resort. In this full‑time position you will support the preparation of high‑quality meals while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking tasks under the guidance of a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
• Follow recipes and food‑preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food storage areas.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Commis III or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior staff.
• Physical endurance to stand for long periods and lift heavy equipment.
• Culinary school certification or relevant training is a plus.
