Commis – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Commis supports the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations at Rixos Premium Dubai JBR, ensuring smooth mise‑en‑place, food storage and service standards in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise mise‑en‑place and service together with the Chef de Partie, following daily checklists and storage procedures.
• Prepare and execute orders from the Chef de Partie, adhering to portion sizes, recipes and quality standards.
• Write daily requisitions for wine, dry store and food, and manage kitchen transfers for stock rotation.
• Attend daily briefings with the Chef de Cuisine and report any equipment issues for timely resolution.
• Maintain HACCP and hygiene records in line with regulations.

Required profile

• Completed kitchen apprenticeship or at least one year of formal chef training.
• 1–2 years experience in a five‑star international hotel kitchen.
• Ability to read recipes and good communication skills.
