Compliance Manager – UAE

About the role

The Local Compliance Manager will lead the firm’s compliance function across the UAE, covering both Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices. Reporting to the Head of Compliance for ME Markets and the Office Managing Partner, you will act as a trusted adviser to partners, lawyers and business professionals, ensuring that global compliance objectives are embedded locally while meeting UAE legal and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor global compliance policies within the UAE offices.
• Provide guidance and risk assessments to partners, lawyers and business units.
• Escalate compliance issues and coordinate with the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, MLRO and Global Compliance Team.
• Maintain oversight of regulatory developments and ensure timely adaptation of internal processes.
• Support the Office Managing Partner in compliance‑related decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or risk management within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of UAE legal and regulatory frameworks, especially anti‑money‑laundering rules.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• High level of integrity and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UAE compliance and AML regulations.
• Familiarity with global compliance standards and their local implementation.
