Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist

About the role

We are seeking a distinguished Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of respiratory conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents. The role involves providing comprehensive paediatric respiratory care using advanced diagnostics and evidence‑based treatments within a leading UAE hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory assessment, diagnosis, and management for paediatric patients.
• Manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, sleep‑related breathing disorders, and recurrent infections.
• Perform and interpret paediatric pulmonary function tests and other respiratory assessments.
• Develop individualized management plans and deliver advanced respiratory therapies.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, intensivists, allergists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, quality improvement, and support medical education.

Required profile

• Board certification in Pediatric Pulmonology or Paediatrics with a recognised paediatric pulmonology fellowship.
• 3–5 years of post‑specialisation experience in paediatric pulmonology.
• Eligibility for Consultant‑level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP.

Required skills

• Extensive experience in paediatric pulmonology and managing complex paediatric respiratory cases.
• Strong clinical decision‑making and diagnostic skills for childhood respiratory disorders.
• Expertise in paediatric asthma, cystic fibrosis, and related respiratory conditions.
• Excellent communication with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
