Costing Engineer – Road Marking

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Costing Engineer specialized in road marking projects. The role involves managing project costing, budgeting and cost control to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and forecasts for road marking projects.
• Monitor project expenditures and analyse budget variances throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct productivity analyses and recommend cost‑optimisation measures.
• Prepare commercial reports, cost analyses and financial performance reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement and finance teams to ensure effective cost control.
• Review project progress and update cost forecasts accordingly.
• Assist in tender pricing, budgeting and commercial evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related engineering discipline.
• 5–8 years of proven experience in costing and budget control for road marking or road infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, productivity analysis and commercial reporting.
• Experience preparing project budgets, cost forecasts and variance analyses.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in the UAE/GCC road infrastructure sector is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with cost management and reporting tools.
