Country Manager – UAE

About the role

Airwallex is seeking a senior leader to head its Middle East operations from Dubai. The Country Manager will be responsible for building and executing the commercial, operational and cultural agenda across the United Arab Emirates and the wider region, driving cash‑flow‑positive growth for the global payments platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the country strategy, covering revenue, customer acquisition and product adoption.
• Lead SME and enterprise commercial teams to achieve KPI targets.
• Own the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy and customer experience for the Middle East.
• Identify emerging high‑growth segments and verticals.
• Partner with Legal, Risk & Compliance to secure licensing and regulatory approvals.
• Build, mentor and expand the local team.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level commercial leadership experience, preferably in fintech or payments.
• Founder‑like energy with a track record of delivering results in high‑visibility roles.
• Strong judgment, curiosity and ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Dubai and travel across the region.
