Director, SME Sales Specialist

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Director, SME Sales Specialist based in Dubai to lead the growth and activation of small‑ and medium‑enterprise (SME) customers across the East Arabia region, including the UAE, GCC markets and Pakistan. The role sits at the intersection of sales execution, ecosystem development and commercialization, turning strategic partnerships into measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a revenue‑driven SME sales and activation strategy for the region.
• Identify, negotiate and close partnerships with banks, fintechs, marketplaces, telcos, ISVs, trade platforms and logistics networks.
• Manage the end‑to‑end pipeline from opportunity identification through deal closure and partner activation.
• Drive card issuance, usage growth and revenue realization from launched programs.
• Represent Mastercard at industry forums, client meetings and ecosystem events.
• Collaborate with Account Management, Business Development, Product and Customer Solutions teams to build business cases and go‑to‑market plans.

Required profile

• Proven commercial track record in sales or partnership development within payments, fintech or related financial services.
• Strong market engagement experience in the UAE, GCC or broader Middle‑East region.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment with disciplined execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
