Director of Business Development – Financial Institutions

About the role

The Monad Foundation seeks a senior leader to build its Financial Institutions vertical. This high‑autonomy position will create pipelines, forge partnerships, and drive institutional adoption of the Monad blockchain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a structured pipeline of banks, exchanges, clearing houses, asset managers and market infrastructure providers, tracking each stage from awareness to commitment.
• Establish deep, trust‑based relationships with senior decision‑makers responsible for blockchain strategy and digital‑asset infrastructure.
• Design and execute an advisor and influencer strategy, engaging consulting firms and intermediaries that shape institutional chain selection.
• Maintain real‑time insight into competing chain evaluations and craft compelling positioning for Monad.
• Lead institutional communications, drafting ecosystem updates, preparing meeting materials, and monitoring sentiment across channels.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in financial‑institution partnerships, institutional business development, management consulting for financial services, or crypto infrastructure.
• Direct exposure to how large financial institutions evaluate, procure and adopt new technology.
• Existing relationships within banks, consulting firms or the institutional crypto ecosystem.

Required skills

• Exceptional written communication for investor updates and institutional narratives.
• Familiarity with token markets and institutional investor behavior.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and synthesize competitive dynamics into actionable intelligence.
