Director – Sovereign Wealth Funds & Financial Sponsors (UAE)

About the role

The Director will support the growth of Sovereign Wealth Funds and Financial Sponsors relationships for First Abu Dhabi Bank in the UAE. The role involves market analysis, origination of mandates, and delivery of tailored banking solutions while supervising junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and industry analysis to identify opportunities and risks for sovereign wealth and sponsor clients.
• Assist Managing Directors and Executive Directors in originating new mandates, preparing presentations, and maintaining client contact.
• Lead day‑to‑day relationship management, deal flow supervision, and credit quality monitoring.
• Develop and execute term sheets, information memoranda, financial models, and mandate letters.
• Manage P&L for the assigned portfolio, ensuring revenue targets and budget compliance.
• Coach and develop junior team members, contributing to talent initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5–10 years of corporate and investment banking experience, including M&A, capital markets, structured finance and fund financing.
• Strong understanding of sovereign wealth fund and financial sponsor dynamics and financing needs.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
