Distribution Center Supervisor

About the role

talabat is looking for a Distribution Center Supervisor to lead grocery store operations across a defined geographical area. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth order fulfillment, strict food‑handling standards, and high‑performance metrics while supporting a large team of store supervisors and pickers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily store operations, including budgeting, hiring, scheduling, inventory stocking, and visual presentation.
• Lead and coach a team of 15‑20 grocery store supervisors, overseeing pick, pack, and hand‑over processes.
• Ensure compliance with food‑handling and packing SOPs and maintain best‑in‑class operational metrics such as order preparation time and picker utilization.
• Develop and implement store‑specific workflows to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate in real time with customer‑care and rider teams to guarantee on‑time dispatches and resolve any complaints.
• Partner with 3PL providers for picker recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Manage rostering for pickers and supervisors to ensure adequate shift coverage.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising grocery or retail store operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a large team.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer experience.
