Electrical Specialist

About the role

The Electrical Specialist is responsible for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of all assigned electrical equipment across the plant. Working closely with supervisors, the role ensures that maintenance activities are performed efficiently, safely and with a first‑time‑right approach. The specialist also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives driven by the line manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on high, medium and low voltage equipment according to the maintenance cycle.
• Respond to fault reports, troubleshoot and correct failures on‑site following work‑order instructions.
• Install, test, commission and maintain switchgears, circuit breakers, transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, battery chargers and LV control panels.
• Provide feedback and required information to supervisors to support maintenance planning.
• Be on‑call for 24 × 7 emergency support and participate in shutdown activities.
• Maintain custody of tools, spare parts and equipment, reporting any shortages.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience (72 months) in electrical maintenance.
• Ability to work on‑call and handle emergency situations.
• Strong adherence to safety standards and company procedures.
• Good communication skills to report abnormal situations promptly.
