Electrical Technician

About the role

Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel is looking for a detail‑oriented Electrical Technician to join its maintenance team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems throughout the hotel while ensuring compliance with UAE safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and systems according to technical specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters and circuit testers.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Analyse circuit diagrams, blueprints and technical documentation to identify potential issues.
• Repair or replace faulty components, wiring and equipment with precision.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections to verify functionality and safety compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to coordinate schedules and ensure project completion.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance, installation or repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and wiring practices.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Interpretation of technical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
