Electronic Engineer II – Advanced Defence Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electronic Engineer II (Grade 8) to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports the development of advanced defence and safety‑critical systems, covering the full product lifecycle from concept to production and sustainment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop analog, RF, digital, mixed‑signal and power‑electronic solutions that meet performance, reliability and safety requirements.
• Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts and electrical harnesses using Altium Designer and other ECAD tools.
• Build, integrate, debug and test prototype hardware for verification and qualification.
• Conduct laboratory testing, analyse results, troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with military, IPC and safety‑critical standards and internal quality processes.
• Support configuration management activities, including Engineering Change Proposals, deviations and document control.
• Maintain accurate Bills of Materials, component libraries and technical data packs throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to production, manufacturing and field teams, resolving design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering (BEng) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical and electronic design engineering, including schematic, PCB and harness design.
• Experience in product development, testing, verification and production, preferably within the defence industry.
