Engineer – Offshore Structures

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Offshore Structures Engineer to join our Oil & Gas team in Sharjah, UAE. You will work on the design, analysis and optimisation of fixed offshore steel structures for a leading international consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑place strength, push‑over, fatigue, seismic, boat‑impact and installation analyses of offshore steel structures using SACS.
• Assess structural integrity of existing platforms and design modifications or strengthening solutions.
• Carry out manual calculations to complement computer‑generated results and design structural components.
• Detail design of pile foundations, boat landings, fenders, offshore bridges, helidecks, joints, installation aids and equipment supports.
• Conduct load‑out, lifting, transportation, on‑bottom stability, pile drivability and related installation analyses.
• Evaluate static and dynamic response of structures to accidental loads such as fire, explosion and dropped objects.
• Present study results to clients through verbal briefings and written reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (post‑graduate qualification desirable).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis of fixed offshore structures.
• Hands‑on experience with SACS for strength, fatigue, seismic and impact analyses.
• Familiarity with API, AISC, DNV and ISO codes applicable to offshore design.
