Environmental Engineer

About the role

The Environmental Engineer will support KBR's Environmental and Sustainability Manager in delivering the environmental components of a large‑scale development programme in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on implementing the ALDAR Environmental Management System, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting sustainable practices across multiple infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively monitor the implementation of the ALDAR Environmental Management System and relevant UAE regulatory requirements.
• Conduct on‑site environmental inspections and audits to verify compliance.
• Review and validate site observation close‑out reports, environmental reports, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to address non‑conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Promote environmental awareness by supporting client and KBR corporate sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of experience in environmental engineering or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
