Executive Director – Head of Trade & Working Capital (MENA)

About the role

The Executive Director will lead the Trade product agenda across the MENA region (excluding UAE). This senior position is responsible for driving business growth, product management, stakeholder engagement, risk oversight and governance while aligning with Standard Chartered’s global Trade objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Trade product strategy for MENA, ensuring revenue impact through new product development, enhancements and portfolio re‑engineering.
• Size the market for Trade services, develop customer value propositions and lead product and sales promotion campaigns.
• Maintain a system to capture competitor and regulatory intelligence and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Collaborate closely with coverage teams, providing product‑management leadership and ensuring alignment with global product heads.
• Monitor and manage the composition and trends of Standard Chartered’s Trade Services portfolio, validating against market and competitor data.
• Deliver end‑to‑end product objectives, overseeing financial and non‑financial performance, risk management and governance.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of international and domestic trade dynamics in the MENA region.
• Proven experience in product management for trade or financial services.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of developing market‑driven value propositions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in risk oversight, governance and alignment with global product strategies.
