Facilities Technician

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Technician to join our facilities team in Dubai. The successful candidate will respond to guest repair requests, carry out preventive maintenance, and ensure that all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves and utility controls for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Carry out basic repairs: painting, drywall and wood‑trim work, light‑bulb and A/C filter replacement, plumbing (unclogging drains, fixing toilets), electrical (replacing switches, outlets, lamps), TV programming and general housekeeping of engineering inventory.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and maintain sprinkler systems.
• Enter air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using basic computer applications.
• Report safety hazards, accidents and follow all company safety policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb and occasional heavier items with assistance.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow safety, security and confidentiality procedures.
