Faculty Member – FinTech & Finance

About the role

The new business school in Dubai is building its FinTech and Digital Finance faculty. This position will join the founding team, teaching undergraduate courses and shaping the curriculum at the intersection of finance, technology, data, and regulation.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate modules covering FinTech, Digital Finance, AI in financial services, digital banking, blockchain, payments and RegTech.
• Design and update curriculum, assessments and learning activities for emerging finance‑technology topics.
• Conduct and publish academic and applied research aligned with the school’s research agenda.
• Supervise student research, capstone projects and industry‑linked assignments.
• Support programme development, accreditation processes and quality assurance.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, FinTech firms, regulators and other stakeholders in the UAE and GCC.
• Facilitate student‑industry engagement through internships, guest lectures and collaborative projects.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Finance, FinTech, Financial Economics, Data Science, Information Systems or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at an accredited higher‑education institution.
• Demonstrated research and publication record appropriate to the academic rank.
• Experience in curriculum design, assessment creation and student supervision.
• Exposure to FinTech, digital finance, AI, blockchain, payments or RegTech through academia or industry.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic and prior UAE/GCC experience are a plus.
• UAE MOHESR Equivalency Certificate (or eligibility within six months).

Required skills

• Knowledge of FinTech ecosystems, digital banking platforms and blockchain technology.
• Familiarity with AI applications in financial services and regulatory technology.
