F&I Manager – Automotive Finance & Insurance

About the role

An Automotive Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager oversees the finance and insurance department, managing a team of F&I executives. They secure financing for vehicle sales, offer insurance products, and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with regulations. The role is pivotal for maximizing dealership revenue while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Team Management – supervise and lead the F&I team, provide guidance and training, set performance targets, and conduct regular reviews to ensure productivity.
• Insurance renewals – coordinate with insurers to facilitate timely renewal of customer policies, ensuring continuity of coverage and compliance with dealership standards.
• Paperwork and documentation – review, approve and oversee all financing and sales paperwork, including loan agreements, titling, registration and related documentation for accuracy.
• Compliance – monitor and enforce adherence to local finance and insurance regulations, perform internal audits, and update procedures to reflect regulatory changes.
• Customer service – address escalated client inquiries and complaints, resolve issues promptly, and maintain strong relationships to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
• Revenue generation – set departmental sales targets, analyse sales data and market trends, identify growth opportunities and drive profitability for the dealership.
