Freelance Project Manager – Events & Modular Construction

About the role

Maestra, a leading supplier for events, exhibitions and live experiences in the Middle East, is seeking a Freelance Project Manager on a short‑term, project‑based basis. You will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of complex event, exhibition, temporary‑structure and modular‑construction projects across the UAE and KSA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from planning, budgeting, procurement and resource allocation through execution and close‑out.
• Manage project programmes, timelines, budgets, deliverables and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure successful delivery.
• Oversee on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety and operational standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues that may impact delivery.
• Monitor project performance, costs, schedules and resources to meet commercial and operational objectives.
• Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and provide regular progress updates.
• Lead project teams, ensuring clear direction, accountability and high performance.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and coordinate with the in‑house production facility.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of project‑management experience in events, exhibitions, temporary structures, modular construction or related industries.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale, fast‑track projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget‑management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management, communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Experience working across the GCC region.
