Front Desk Agent

About the role

We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team at the 5‑star Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering a warm welcome and ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and check‑in guests, providing efficient service and accurate billing.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
• Upsell hotel services and amenities to maximise occupancy and satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, local attractions and services.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs promptly.
• Manage reservations, room assignments and special requests.
• Keep the front desk area organized and stocked with supplies.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as report generation and inventory management.
• Adhere to hotel policies while maintaining a customer‑focused approach.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance service skills.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a guest‑services or hotel front‑desk role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Multilingual abilities, especially Arabic and English, are highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to multitask efficiently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Opera hotel management software (preferred).
