General Mechanic – Hotel Facilities

About the role

We are seeking a General Mechanic to join the facilities team at Sheraton The Walk Dubai. The role involves maintaining the hotel’s fleet of vehicles and ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on property vehicles such as engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts (oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, spark plug replacement).
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Log daily operation, maintenance and safety activities, recording test results, instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow company safety, security and environmental policies; report hazards, accidents and store flammable materials properly.
• Ensure professional personal appearance, protect confidential information and company assets.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, handle telephone etiquette and prepare accurate written documents.
• Assist with physical tasks such as moving, lifting and positioning objects up to 50 lb.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school education.
• Minimum 2 years of related mechanical maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work on‑site in Dubai.
