General Technician

About the role

The General Technician provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities. You will respond to guest requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets.
• Inspect, lubricate, and clean equipment; identify and operate shut‑off valves.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform minor painting, drywall, wood‑trim repairs, and complete clean‑up of work areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Program televisions, replace bulbs, filters, switches, and outlets.
• Execute landscaping and sprinkler repairs, and follow lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Adhere to safety, security, and company policies; report hazards and incidents.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, moving tools, and operating hand‑held equipment.
• Strong communication skills for shift hand‑over and guest interaction.
• Commitment to professional appearance, confidentiality, and guest service standards.
