Graduate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate to join its dynamic engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This full‑time position offers the chance to work on innovative infrastructure projects while developing core engineering competencies in a professional corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
• Conduct technical analysis and simulations to evaluate and optimise mechanical designs.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for engineering projects.
• Support senior engineers in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, providing analytical insights to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects meet schedule and technical specifications.
• Maintain organised project files and documentation in compliance with company standards.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives by analysing processes and identifying optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, and well‑organised with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges and willingness to learn on the job.

Required skills
