Head of Finance

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, high‑transaction business based in Dubai. The role combines strategic financial leadership with direct involvement in core accounting, reporting and cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
• Own the month‑end close for a multi‑entity structure, targeting a five‑day close cycle.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and scenario analyses.
• Identify and remediate process deficiencies, establishing robust controls.
• Provide unit‑economics analysis and performance dashboards to support executive decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT, corporate tax and audit requirements.
• Manage liquidity, receivables, payables and treasury operations, mitigating financial risk.
• Leverage SQL, data‑warehouse tools and AI solutions (Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate analysis and reconciliation.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Proven finance leadership experience in high‑transaction, high‑volume sectors such as ride‑hailing, mobility, delivery, marketplaces, fintech or e‑commerce.
• Track record of improving financial controls, shortening close cycles and delivering actionable insights.
• Hands‑on approach with willingness to perform core accounting tasks.
