Head of Licensing and Regulatory Authorisations

About the role

Tether.io is seeking a senior leader to head its Licensing and Regulatory Authorisations function. The role will guide the company through the complex regulatory landscape of digital assets and stablecoins, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions where Tether operates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive licensing strategy for Tether’s global operations.
• Lead interactions with regulators, preparing and submitting authorisation applications.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise senior management on risk and compliance implications.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including legal, compliance, product and engineering—to align regulatory requirements with business objectives.
• Represent Tether in industry forums and regulatory consultations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in regulatory affairs within the digital‑asset, fintech or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of stablecoin and cryptocurrency regulations worldwide.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self‑starter with strong organisational and leadership abilities.
