Head of Performing Arts

About the role

Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Performing Arts to lead its vibrant department from January 2027. You will be responsible for shaping the curriculum, inspiring students, and delivering high‑quality performances across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a progressive Performing Arts curriculum aligned with the English National Curriculum.
• Lead, mentor and support a team of teachers, fostering continuous professional development.
• Design and manage teaching timetables for GCSE and A‑Level courses.
• Organise productions, performances and enrichment activities that promote creativity, confidence and collaboration.
• Monitor and raise student achievement through effective assessment strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching GCSE Performing Arts; A‑Level experience is desirable.
• Strong leadership and team‑working abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for student development.
• Commitment to the Academy’s values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
