Heart of House Specialist

About the role

The Heart of House Specialist is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and back‑of‑house food‑and‑beverage areas at St. Regis Abu Dhabi. The role supports banquet set‑ups, ensures proper equipment preparation and manages waste disposal in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all kitchen, pantry, and back‑of‑house areas according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Set up banquet functions following the Banquet Event Order and ensure all outlets have clean, dry equipment.
• Supply each outlet and food production area with clean, dry kitchen equipment and garbage cans.
• Use correct chemicals for cleaning tasks and monitor dishwasher temperatures and cycles.
• Oversee proper waste disposal and maintain cleanliness of the waste disposal room.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, dishwasher performance, and equipment breakage.
• Adhere to fire, hygiene, and safety policies and maintain a professional personal appearance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a Stewarding or back‑of‑house department.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all hotel departments.
• Commitment to following hygiene schedules, checklists and company standards.
