Heart of House Specialist (Steward) – Staff Cafeteria

About the role

The Heart of House Specialist (Steward) works in the staff cafeteria to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment for guests and colleagues. This full‑time position supports multiple hotel departments, including kitchen, food & beverage, and laundry, by handling cleaning and linen duties.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain dining ware, kitchen equipment, and linen using dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, and laundry appliances.
• Transport dishware and linens across the property, ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate areas.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and tools.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and uphold quality standards.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb without assistance; stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience needed.
• No supervisory experience or licenses required.
• Ability to follow company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate effectively.
