Guest Service Officer

About the role

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a passionate and energetic Guest Service Officer to join its Front Office team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out experiences while delivering memorable, personalized service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, manage check‑in/check‑out procedures, and handle billing and payment processes accurately.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, providing effective resolutions and service recovery.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of hotel facilities, promotions, loyalty programs, and local attractions to advise guests.
• Process reservations, room changes, special requests, and guest profiles according to Hyatt standards.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Operate Front Office systems, maintain guest records, and perform cashiering duties including cash handling and foreign currency exchange.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism or related field (preferred).
• Previous front office or guest services experience in hospitality (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Opera PMS is advantageous.
