Heating Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

The Heating Air Conditioning Technician will join Anwar Shaam’s on‑site team in Dubai, delivering installation, maintenance and repair services for HVAC systems across commercial, educational and healthcare projects. The role focuses on ensuring optimal system performance, comfort and energy efficiency for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and test heating and air‑conditioning equipment in new and retrofit projects.
• Diagnose system faults, perform corrective repairs and carry out preventive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections, cleaning and servicing of HVAC units.
• Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns promptly.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors and other trades to meet project schedules.
• Document work performed, maintain service records and advise clients on proper system use and energy‑saving practices.
• Follow all safety, environmental and local building‑code regulations.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Proven experience as an HVAC technician on commercial or institutional projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and local building codes.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• HVAC troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Plumbing skills for HVAC piping, drainage and fluid connections.
• Preventive maintenance of heating and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Refrigerant handling and EPA‑type certification or equivalent.
• Electrical wiring, control‑panel work and safe handling of electrical components.
• Reading technical drawings and specifications.
