Hostess – All Day Dining (Manava)

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests at the Manava All Day Dining restaurant in Sofitel Dubai The Palm. She will ensure a welcoming atmosphere, manage reservations and seating, and support smooth restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of dining room layout, table numbers, capacity, operating hours, price range and dress code.
• Answer telephone calls within three rings using proper etiquette and manage reservations, cancellations and special requests.
• Prepare and organise the hostess stand, menus and check folders, ensuring they are clean and stocked.
• Review the reservation book, pre‑assign tables, and seat guests fairly according to the floor plan.
• Greet guests at the entrance, present menus, and ensure they are satisfied with their seating.
• Monitor waiting lines during busy periods and coordinate procedures to minimise wait times.
• Communicate any reservation changes to management promptly.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel or restaurant operations.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal abilities.
