Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily cleaning operations of the outsourced housekeeping team in a hospital environment, ensuring that all areas meet the highest health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff, guaranteeing compliance with hospital standards, SLA terms and KPI requirements.
• Plan, schedule and perform cleaning, disinfection and sanitisation of patient rooms, operating theatre, clinical areas and support spaces.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning chemicals and supplies, ensuring validity and proper storage.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify cleanliness, safety and waste segregation.
• Train, motivate and support the outsourced team, handling complaints and escalations promptly.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or equivalent; relevant certifications in infection control, health and safety, or environmental hygiene are a plus.
• Proven supervisory experience in the healthcare sector, preferably with at least five years of housekeeping experience.
• Previous experience working in the Middle East is desirable.
