HSE Specialist

About the role

Worley is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to lead health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) activities for a major project in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that HSSE goals are met, support safe project delivery, and act as the primary HSE liaison for the Owner and EPC/FEED contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and drive engagement across the project team.
• Develop, implement and monitor HSSE plans, procedures and emergency response arrangements.
• Lead a team of HSE professionals, including senior engineers and officers.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, applying root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation, Owner standards and contractual HSE requirements.
• Track HSSE performance metrics, report trends and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in HSE management on large EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and relevant legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to coordinate HSE input during design, construction and hand‑over phases.
