Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will provide professional HR services to both academic and non‑academic staff at the university. The role ensures the implementation of HR policies and procedures to support collaboration, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all types of leave (annual, maternity, unpaid, compensation, escort, long sick) and verify return‑from‑leave requests against the attendance system.
• Handle contract renewals, including obtaining decisions, issuing renewal letters, attaching performance appraisal scores, and updating the HR system.
• Monitor probation periods, ensuring evaluations and status confirmations are completed by line managers.
• Process employee benefits and allowances such as promotions, travel tickets, awards, increments, transportation, and overtime requests.
• Execute employee data changes, including transfers, job title updates, marital status, and educational qualifications.
• Issue salary certificates and process Business Mission requests in line with university policies.
• Administer the attendance system, create new accounts, register fingerprints, manage schedules, and enforce disciplinary actions for attendance violations.
• Coordinate employee clearance and end‑of‑service procedures with relevant departments.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all employee data.
• Perform any additional HR‑related tasks assigned by the line manager.
