Investment Operations Associate

About the role

The Investment Operations Associate will work directly with the Head of Middle East, supporting the day‑to‑day running of Goanna’s Abu Dhabi office. You will be involved in operations, investor relations and business development, collaborating with the firm’s founder and senior team in New York.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain smooth office operations, including administration, banking, compliance coordination and corporate administration.
• Support accounting and financial reporting by liaising with external accountants and the New York team.
• Prepare and manage KYC documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Build and maintain target lists of sovereign wealth funds, family offices and institutional investors across the GCC, draft outreach emails and schedule meetings.
• Manage the CRM system, track active relationships and follow up to keep conversations moving.
• Assist in organizing regional events such as the Frontier Summit and help portfolio companies access the GCC market through introductions and market intelligence.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience, preferably from a Big Four firm or a similar accounting/audit/operations background.
• Legal right to work in the UAE; the role does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, or able to relocate immediately.
• Strong written and spoken English, highly organised and detail‑oriented.
• Genuine interest in technology investing and the GCC ecosystem; Arabic is a plus.
