Junior Cardiac Surgery Consultant – Government Hospital

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Cardiac Surgery Consultant to join a Government Healthcare Facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering specialized cardiac surgical care within a multidisciplinary team and supporting senior consultants in complex procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients requiring cardiac surgical interventions.
• Participate in pre‑operative evaluation, surgical planning, operative procedures and post‑operative care.
• Perform cardiac surgical procedures within the approved scope of practice and assist senior consultants in major cases.
• Monitor post‑operative patients, identify complications and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, perfusionists and nursing staff.
• Take part in on‑call duties, emergency cardiac assessments and departmental meetings.
• Contribute to clinical audits, research activities and the education of junior staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in cardiac surgery or related specialty.
• Strong clinical judgment, commitment to patient safety and ability to work in a high‑acuity environment.
• Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
