Junior Category Executive

About the role

The Junior Category Executive will serve as the analytical engine for Careem's Groceries Category Management team. You will transform large volumes of commercial data into actionable insights that guide assortment, pricing, and promotional decisions. This role is ideal for a data‑driven individual eager to grow in a fast‑moving Q‑commerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse category, supplier and customer data to spot trends, risks and opportunities.
• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate and manipulate data for commercial analysis.
• Automate recurring reports and build self‑serve dashboards for sales, pricing, margins and stock monitoring.
• Prepare clear, visual presentations for supplier performance reviews and senior management.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience working with commercial data or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team.
