Junior Sommelier

About the role

One&Only Resorts is looking for a Junior Sommelier to join the Food & Beverage team at One&Only The Palm in Dubai. In this role you will support the wine program, assist guests with selections and ensure a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend and serve wines based on guest preferences.
• Present, open and pour wine following proper service standards.
• Assist guests in pairing wine with menu items.
• Provide accurate information about wine regions, varietals, vintages and flavor profiles.
• Maintain and update the wine list under the Head Sommelier’s guidance.
• Receive, organize and store wine bottles, ensuring correct labeling, rotation (FIFO) and handling.
• Conduct stock‑taking and keep accurate inventory records.
• Report low‑stock items or discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with the service team to coordinate wine and food service.
• Help train servers on basic wine knowledge and service etiquette.
