About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join the Dahlia kitchen at Sofitel Dubai Downtown. You will support the Executive Chef in delivering French‑inspired and local dishes while maintaining the high standards of a 5‑star luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes.
  • Maintain accurate recipe documentation and portion control.
  • Manage inventory control, ordering, and minimise waste.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling, task assignment and training.
  • Oversee food production to ensure quality, cost standards and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service operations.

Required profile

  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum three years of professional kitchen experience, with at least one year in a supervisory or lead cook role.
  • Experience in high‑end restaurants or luxury hotels is preferred.
