Kindergarten Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Kindergarten Assistant to support teachers inside and outside the classroom at The International School of Choueifat – DIP in Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, productive and clean environment for young learners while assisting with daily instructional and care activities.

Key responsibilities

• Keep a record of children’s attendance and deliver attendance form to the office.
• Create class displays, games and visual materials following the teacher’s direction, including bulletin boards.
• Put up and take down displays.
• Reinforce class and school rules and behavior.
• File notes into children’s reading folders and check them each morning.
• Maintain tidy shelves and clean the classroom regularly.
• Support the class teacher during lessons by keeping children focused and attentive.
• Assist the teacher with correcting children’s work.
• Listen to children read their word cards.
• Prepare activities and clean up after lessons, including art.
• Prepare and clean up after snack time, washing tables, cups and plates.
• Assist with lunch, supervise children while eating and clean up.
• Supervise toilet hygiene, remind children to flush and wash hands, and help with accidents.
• Supervise outdoor play.
• Supervise nap or quiet time, ensuring a calm environment.
• Accompany students to the kindergarten in the morning and assist with Morning Care supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent.
• Non‑native English speaking candidates only.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Must meet all local employment, education, certification, reference and criminal background check requirements.
