About the role
The Laundry Attendant ensures hotel linens and garments are cleaned, inspected, and prepared for guest use, maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
- Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot‑treatment, rewash, or discard.
- Inspect cleaned articles, place them in clean linen carts, and fold them by hand or using folding machines.
- Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric types and remove lint, debris, and filter residues after each load.
- Maintain accurate records of laundered items and follow all safety, security, and company policies.
- Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the manager and complete required safety training.
Required profile
- No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- No prior related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
