Laundry Manager

About the role

The Laundry Manager will lead the laundry and team member areas at Desert Islands Resort & Spa, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient operation that supports the high standards of Anantara Hotels & Resorts. Reporting to the Housekeeping Director, you will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, and supplier relationships while delivering exceptional service to guests, including VIPs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of laundry and team member areas at all times.
• Enforce health and safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals.
• Ensure all staff follow departmental SOPs and LSOPs.
• Coach, orient, and develop new and existing team members.
• Manage linen, towel and uniform inventory, monitor par levels and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with suppliers and oversee procurement of laundry supplies.
• Implement waste‑reduction measures and control overtime through effective scheduling.
• Support special projects such as new hotel openings, events and VIP requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing laundry operations in a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and chemical handling standards.
• Ability to train, motivate and lead a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and inventory‑control skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with other departments.
• Flexibility to respond to special events, openings and VIP guest needs.
