Lead Instrument and Controls Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Instrument and Controls Engineer to provide technical expertise for instrumentation design on a Greenfield project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring compliance with codes and ADNOC standards while driving engineering execution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise across all instrumentation design activities.
• Ensure design and engineering comply with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate, monitor and manage instrumentation design and engineering with the EPC contractor to meet project expectations and timelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, EPC contractors, and ADNOC engineering/operations teams to resolve technical issues and maintain quality.
• Perform regular technical reviews of instrumentation engineering deliverables from consultants/contractors, ensuring design quality and adherence to best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instrumentation design and engineering.
• Familiarity with industry codes and ADNOC standards.
• Ability to coordinate with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical review and quality assurance capabilities.
