Lead Project Control Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead Project Control Engineer to oversee planning and cost control for a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role reports to the Project Control Manager and is responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor the baseline project schedule, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and interface dates.
• Perform cost control activities, including variance analysis, forecasts, and earned value management reporting.
• Manage change control processes, assess impacts on schedule and cost, and support risk management activities.
• Generate weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting progress, actuals, forecasts and explanations of variances.
• Coordinate internal and external project reviews, and ensure compliance with company and project procedures.
• Support the Project Control Manager on contractual and commercial issues to protect company interests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project planning, scheduling and cost control within engineering, construction or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of earned value management principles and risk management practices.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and multiple contractors.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
