Learning & Talent Development Manager (Retail)

About the role

The company is seeking a senior manager to lead Learning & Talent Development for its luxury retail operations across the UAE and neighboring Gulf markets. The role owns the training calendar, creates and approves learning content, manages a small delivery team, and personally delivers key store‑manager development programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, own and execute the annual and quarterly training calendar aligned with the trading schedule.
• Develop, review and approve learning content, especially management and leadership programmes, ensuring quality before final sign‑off.
• Lead, coach and protect the Assistant Manager and Field Trainer from administrative drift.
• Run competency assessments, quality‑assure Individual Development Plans and track high‑potential progression.
• Deliver Store Manager and Store In‑charge development programmes on the shop floor.
• Govern store visits, produce actionable reports per store and consolidated findings.
• Coordinate brand‑training rollouts, manage regional visit cycles in Qatar, Oman and Bahrain, and oversee mystery‑shopping programmes.
• Report weekly to the L&TD Head and maintain a monthly dashboard linking learning activity to commercial KPIs.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience, including at least 3 years managing an L&D or training team.
• Strong floor credibility, preferably with prior store or area target responsibility.
• Experience across multiple GCC markets and a valid UAE driving licence.
• Relevant certifications such as CPTD (ATD) or CIPD are desirable.
