Legal Associate

About the role

Alcazar Energy is seeking a Legal Associate to provide legal, regulatory and corporate governance advice across its assets and subsidiaries. The role supports deal execution, corporate secretarial functions, and ensures compliance with the applicable legal framework.

Key responsibilities

• Provide transactional support, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Offer legal, regulatory and corporate governance advice to facilitate informed business decisions and manage key risks.
• Assist in identifying and assessing legal and commercial risks of transactions, developing action plans for deficiencies.
• Partner with transaction teams for pre‑contract risk assessments, structuring, execution and post‑completion management.
• Handle company secretarial administration: board packs, resolutions, POAs, corporate registers, KYC requests, statutory filings and liaison with service providers.
• Support acquisition and investment transactions, managing due diligence, coordinating local counsel and preparing closing deliverables.
• Lead day‑to‑day legal support for project finance workstreams, including drafting project agreements and managing permitting, land and transmission matters.

Required profile

• Law degree with a focus on corporate, energy or commercial law.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess legal and regulatory risks.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external counsel.
• Detail‑oriented approach to corporate secretarial and statutory compliance tasks.
